GPHI is committed to supporting not only children, but also the elderly, those who have served society but are now often forgotten. Our Aged Support and Empowered Action Project is a compassionate outreach that has, for over a decade, brought relief, respect, and joy to over 1,000 elderly individuals annually.
The aged support and empowered action project of GPHI which objective is to support the aged within her immediate environment with comprehensive service continue to improve on her service delivery to the aged in the community. About one thousand and thirty-two (1,032) benefited directly from the project in the year 2023 while one thousand and eighty-two (1,082) aged benefited from the project in the year 2024 with services ranging from shelter and care, nutrition, health care and psychosocial.
WHAT WE DO:
- Monthly distribution of food items and medical supplies
- Home visits and companionship support
- Health education and regular checkups in collaboration with healthcare providers
- Community events and celebrations that promote inclusion and dignity
OUR IMPACT:
- Over 10,000 elderly individuals supported in the last 10 years
- Reduction in loneliness, malnutrition, and neglect among aging populations
- Strengthened intergenerational relationships within the community
- Renewed sense of purpose and belonging among the elderly
