Community Intervention

At GPHI, we recognize that true transformation begins within the community. Our community-based interventions are designed to bring lasting change where it matters most at the grassroots level. For over two decades, we have worked side by side with local leaders, families, and stakeholders to build safer, healthier, and more empowered communities.

Our Unique Approach

  • Inclusive Participation: We engage traditional leaders, women, youth, and faith-based groups in every phase of our programs.

  • Empowered Structures: Through the formation and training of Community Child Protection Committees (CCPC), we create long-term local ownership of protection and development goals.

  • Needs-Based Solutions: All interventions are guided by thorough community needs assessments, ensuring our support meets real, felt needs.

  • Integrated Service Delivery: Our projects combine education, health, nutrition, psychosocial support, household economic strengthening, and child protection.

Community Programs Implemented

    • Health Campaigns: Malaria prevention, Tuberculosis control, and COVID-19 awareness initiatives.

    • Youth Engagement: Skills training, leadership development, and mentorship programs that prepare youth for employment and entrepreneurship.

    • Emergency Response: Quick action during crises to deliver food, hygiene kits, and counseling services.

    • STEER Project (2014–2018): Implemented in partnership with Save the Children International, this project reached over 20,000 children with education, protection, nutrition, and psychosocial support.

    • ICHSSA 3 Project (2019–2024): In partnership with Society for Family Health, this initiative served over 30,000 beneficiaries, providing a broad range of support services to orphans and vulnerable children.
